Whether you feel inspired to hike a mountain, find your balance on a paddleboard, or take a stroll through epic woodland; ACAI’s Outdoorsing events are opportunities to venture into nature with like-minded women.




Women who get outdoors, feel better about their bodies*
Research shows just two hours in nature every week increases a woman’s happiness. And women who spend time outdoors are more likely “to experience positive body image”.
It’s against this backdrop ACAI created The Outdoorsing Club to inspire women across the UK to experience new adventures. So why not join our ACAI Adventurers, alongside other like-minded women, for a free, organised opportunity to get a boost from Mother Nature?

Lulworth Cove & Durdle Door

THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED
We'll start at Lulworth Cove, a quaint village and part of the Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will head inland first through farmland and up onto a ridge where we'll start to see views of the epic coastline below us. We'll then join the coast path and undulate along the steep chalk cliffs until Durdle Door starts to come into view. We'll also explore the cliff caves and Man O'War bay. We will finish at Lulworth Cove for a dip in the sea and some chips on the beach!

Ginger Grows Sow Along

The event will include a tour of the microgreen unit with a little discussion about how we grow/sow/take care of these. You'll take a look around the raised beds, greenhouse and compost bays. There's a coffee and cake shop on site too! Back out to the garden for a sow along of some Spring seeds and clearing some space in raised beds for some planting out seedlings.

Norfolk Coast Path Walk

I'm really excited to show what beauty the Norfolk Coast has to offer! We will meet at Holkam nature reserve where we'll take a walk through the beautiful Holkham Hall grounds. Then we will head into the seaside town of Wells next to sea where will will connect onto the Norfolk Coast path which leads us through winding forest paths and onto the most stunning open sandy beach which will connect back down to Holkham Gap! Furry friends welcome too.

Spectacular Seven Sisters & Friston Forest hike

We will be getting together to hike one of the most stunning stretches of coastline in the UK. For the first half of this hike we will be walking the South Downs Way and the second half will take us on a relaxed nature ramble through the beautiful Friston Forest. There will be hot chocolates on Birling Gap beach, a welcome reward at the end of this coastal adventure.

Weekday Shutlingsloe Hill

A 'trigbagging' mission for anyone collecting the Peak District trigpoints. Shutlingsloe is a personal favourite of mine as the views from the summit are just stunning. As well as the far-reaching views from the top, we'll also enjoy a peaceful and beautiful woodland walk through Macclesfield Forest and if we're lucky, we'll see the Red Deer that graze here.

Bleaklow Bomber Hike

A hike to see the famous 'Bleaklow Bomber' - a huge Boeing B29 that crash-landed in 1948, killing all 13 crew on board. A sombre experience to walk amongst the wreckage and hear about the history of the aircraft. As well as the crash site, we will head to the summit of Higher Shelf Stones to enjoy the stunning views from the trigpoint before descending via Doctor's Gate and following the river down the valley.

Rydal Caves Lake District Hike

A lake, a cave and Wainwright! This walk explores Rydal Cave - a hidden gem tucked away on the hillside above Rydal Water. After taking the stepping stones across the small green lake to venture deeper into this huge man-made cavern and learn the history of the area, we'll make our way up to the summit of Loughrigg Fell to enjoy the 360 degree views from the trigpoint.

Highlights of Yorkshire

Join a group of like-minded women to explore some of the 'best bits' of the stunning Yorkshire Dales - Janet's Foss Waterfall, Gordale Scar and Malham Cove. Rolling hills, limestone pavements and crystal clear waters.
Outdoorsing at the Flower Farm

Come and visit a start-up flower farm in Devon and learn all about getting growing. During the day you'll get a chance to tour the farm site and meet the animals (including a miniature donkey and a shire horse), drink tea and eat cake in the barn, as well as participate in a range of gardening activities. We'll be making wildflower seed bombs and sowing microgreens for you to take home, making clay prints out of natural materials and getting our hands dirty on the farm, be it sowing seeds, making no-dig beds or building a firepit to give you a taste of life as a flower farmer in the spring season.

International Women's Day in Shropshire

Come and explore the Shropshire Hills area of outstanding natural beauty on this 7.3k hike encompassing 3 of it's peaks. We will attempt to find the elusive Caractacus' Cave on Caer Caradoc and learn a bit about the history and myths linked to these ancient hills. We will then be heading to Love2Stay in Shrewsbury for lunch at the Café. We then have the opportunity to use Love2Stay's natural outdoor swimming pool for a cold water dip. We also have access to 4 hot tubs to end the day calm and relaxed.
