Whether you feel inspired to hike a mountain, find your balance on a paddleboard, or take a stroll through epic woodland; ACAI’s Outdoorsing events are opportunities to venture into nature with like-minded women.




Women who get outdoors, feel better about their bodies*
Research shows just two hours in nature every week increases a woman’s happiness. And women who spend time outdoors are more likely “to experience positive body image”.
It’s against this backdrop ACAI created The Outdoorsing Club to inspire women across the UK to experience new adventures. So why not join our ACAI Adventurers, alongside other like-minded women, for a free, organised opportunity to get a boost from Mother Nature?

Chilterns Chess Valley Hike

A 13km loop walk around Chilterns Chess Valley. This is a 'Must do' hike in The Chilterns! This route will take you through some hilly lush green countryside and forests. You will follow part of the Chess River where you can spot King Fishers, water vole and dancing dragon flies. You'll also walk through quaint English villages and see epic views across an AONB.

Gardening at Arlington Court

Get stuck into the incredible growing space of the Walled Garden at Arlington Court National Trust, soak up the beauty of this historic property and get crafty in the gardens with a foraging walk and nature crown workshop. This event is designed to boost your confidence in the garden, get your creativity flowing and create a buzz with likeminded women.

Peak District Hike

Starting from Grindleford Cafe, we'll set off on a journey through time! From the Padley Martyrs of the 16th century to the Dam Builders of the early 1900s, this walk is packed full of clues from the past. Finishing with a downhill stroll through the stunning ancient woodland of Padley Gorge. A walk for all fitness levels.

Exploring Stiperstones

Stiperstones is a National Nature Reserve and known for the beautiful purple Heather and wildlife including red grouse. We start with a steep ascent from Snailbeach onto the Stiperstones Ridge. We will walk up past The Devil's Chair and onto Stiperstones’ summit; Manstone Rock which stands at 536m. The hill range is characterised by rugged, jagged mounds of Quartzite rock, formed some 480 million years ago during the ice age. At the end we will have the opportunity to explore around Snailbeach Mine, an old lead mine dating back to the Roman times.

Lake District Hike

One for the wild dippers! This walk follows Rydal Beck, which is packed full of beautiful waterfalls and crystal clear dipping pools. We'll finish with a visit to the insta-famous Rydal Grot; a favourite of William Wordsworth and a lovely place to sit and enjoy the spectacular scenery. (A wild dip is optional!) A walk for all fitness levels.

Aber Falls in Snowdonia

One of Snowdonia’s most dramatic waterfalls, situated at the northern foothills of the Carneddau. We will walk to Aber Falls and then further past it to visit the smaller but not less impressive Rhaeadr Fach waterfall. We will walk take a steep incline up the opposite bank to witness the stunning panoramic views over Anglesey and the Menai Strait.

Jurassic Coastline Hike

Join us on a beautiful hike up to Golden Cap. At 191m high, this is the highest point on the South Coast and part of the Jurassic Coastline. We'll start in Seatown and hike inland past the remains of St Gabriels Church, up to Stonebarrow hill and head down towards the coast path where we'll start the long ascent up to Golden Cap. We'll finish back in Seatown where we'll either go for a dip and the sea or have a drink in the pub.

Exploring the Yorkshire Dales

The best bits of the Yorkshire Dales! Visiting famous sites such as Malham Cove and Gordale Scar, this is one for the lovers of big rocks and geology geeks! We'll also walk through an enchanting woodland to discover the spectacular Janet's Foss waterfall. A moderate walk for those who have a good level of fitness.

Hike in the Peak District

A lesser known walk in the Dark Peak that has some of the best views in the Peak District! Most will head to nearby Kinder Scout, making this a much quieter, but no less stunning, route. For any 'Ethel-baggers' out there, there are two peaks to bag on this loop. A moderate walk for those who have a good level of fitness.
